Flies are insects. Insects have six legs and three body parts: head, thorax, and abdomen. Insects don't have bones. Their skeleton is on the outside - which is called an exoskeleton. Insects have antennae sticking out of their heads that help them smell and feel - much like we use our nose and hands. Insects eyes are very different from our eyes. They have compound eyes which help them see things close up and see small movements which helps them survive and find food.
